Very Exciting Week!!

Let me start by giving my Cree Taw TAw, Brother Chris, and of course lil Cree Taw Taw a huge welcome home. WELCOME TO CANADA. It was an emotional time at the Winnipeg Airport on July 17th. We all waited patiently to watch the Russian immigrants swing through those doors. This was of course after Sawyer and I got out of "HOTEL CALIFORNIA PARKADE". It was a long awaited reunion and it was so great to see them again and know that everything went as scheduled.

And the drive home....well it was a rockin good time!!!

Also on July 17th, Sawyer and I officially lost our title as "Nomads". We purchased our first home together in Winnipeg. House needs a little work, but it is a roof over our heads and we are both really excited to be starting a new journey in Winnipeg. Praise the Lord for new beginnings!!!!

Another exciting happening is Sawyer got a new set of wheels. It's a smart car...driven Fred Flinstone style.

CHEERS (A July 4th Sequel)

In reference to my blog dated July 4th, I have to add this to the list. I have never been able to listen to the theme song for Cheers with out my eyes filling with tears. I watched the show today and while listening to the theme song, it all came back to me......The Winkler Inn!!

Cheers (some of these lyrics where never published)

Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.

Wouldn't you like to get away?

Sometimes you want to go

Where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see,
our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows
Your name.

You wanna go where people know,
people are all the same,
You wanna go where everybody knows
your name.

Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you've got;
Taking a break from all your worries
Sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?

All those night when you've got no lights,
The check is in the mail;
And your little angel
Hung the cat up by it's tail;
And your third fiance didn't show;

Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to be where you can see,
Our troubles are all the same;
You want to be where everybody knows your name.

Roll out of bed, Mr. Coffee's dead;
The morning's looking bright;
And your shrink ran off to Europe,
And didn't even write;
And your husband wants to be a girl;

Be glad there's one place in the world
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to go where people know,
People are all the same;
You want to go where everybody knows your name.

Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came...

Things that make me Cry

I was thinking the other day how strange it is of what makes us cry. I cry, or get weepy, from the strangest things. Here are a few things that make me cry/weepy....

1. A Parade - i don't know why, this one is a mystery

2. The retired man that works at Tim Hortons - i see this man every morning while i am in the drive through. He's probably about 65 -70 years old, and every morning at 7:50 he comes to work with his Timmy's tennis hat and packed lunch in hand, ready for a fun day of cleaning tables. I smile and say a prayer for him each day. God Bless Timmy man!!!!!!

3. Watching a air plane take off - I always think of how many people have loved ones on those flights, praying for their safe return. Also that they are getting some dehydrated puppy poop substitution for nuts and a urine sample size cup of "something cold to drink" and I am not.

4. When Nathan answers the phone and says "hi this is Nathan" - He is just so....sweet. I love you Nathan!!!!!!

5. Fire Works - This year in particular the fire works made me cry. I was reminded of the many memories that fire works bring back for me. I watched them this year thinking of my memories and looking at my young son, thinking, "i hope his fire works memories are as good as mine". I would like to share some of my most fabulous fire works memories.
- Detroit Lakes (x 20) these are a given of the fab memories - God Bless America!
- Charleston, SC 2005 - Hey Sailor you like my clubbin pants? - God Bless the Navy!
- Spruce Woods, 2000, 2001, 2002, Bay 8 site 21 - A Jamie and Ryan Production
of "don't try this at home" - God Bless Cananda, and the good ole Canadian Boys!

6. Old people digging for change at the grocery store - i cry because i KNOW that will be me one day.

7. When you ask Sawyer if he wants to see Papa and Grandma and he wants to hug you.

8. On my last day of work before I leave for Holidays (i know this one kills me cause it's like "hey see you in 2 weeks") What could possibly be sad about that.

9. When I read emails from my sisters kids (all of them, especially the walking down the hall ones)

10. Driving past the junction of Hwy #2 and Hwy #5 ( Ryan you can relate?)

11. and last but not least, when i get a brazilian

So next time you get weepy, think about that baby and say......hey watcha cryin for, mama never raised no suck.
