Christmas times a comin'...

Well folks, it has finally arrived. My very first Christmas. I am so excited. Let me tell you about all the exciting new Christmas adventures. As you can see in exhibit A, I am a little to heavy to be hung with the rest of the stockings. I am not sure how impressed I was to be stuffed like a turkey at Thanksgiving into this stocking, but oh well, it was worth watching my mom laugh hysterically. At first I did not like the Christmas tree. It felt kinda like my dad's face.....prickly. Then mom starts hanging all these interesting objects all over the tree, that just shout out "touch me Sawyer, ripe me off the tree and chew on me". Turns out mom does not like this much. I am getting real comfortable with the feel of the tree......shakes real nice. Then you see, there are these fascinating houses that mom put up reeeeeaallly high. They have lights in them and I loooooooooove those. Everyday around 4:30, mom says "lets lightem up" and then I say yeh and clap my hands. It is a house lighting ceremony everyday, its the bomb. Mom bought me my first Christmas CD. We listen to that and we dance. She has also introduced me to the one, the only, the greatest singer to hit the Christmas strip, REBA MCINTYRE. Mom mentioned the other day missing her sisters and she grabbed for a candle and just 'went to town'. Get down Mamma!!! I didn't know she was so passionate and such a good dancer....Anyway, it has been a fun time so far, and from what they tell me, it only gets better. I get paper!!!!!

Mom's been doing a lot of Christmas baking, Dad's been doing a lot of Christmas baking....eating! Bet you all thought I was going to say that Dad's been baking too. Not a chance! Anyway, we have done a lot of Christmas shopping. We have finished buying all the cousins their presents, hope you all like em. Just having a little trouble with the grandparents....lets see, more pictures of me? Anyway, all you grandparents of mine out there, start throwing some ideas around, cause mom is stressing out. Can't have that now, cause it cuts into my time.

So I started standing on my own quite a bit. I tried to take a step the other day. Mom said "I gotcha, I gotcha" but I dunno, you think I can trust her? Well she has never let me down yet, so I guess I should just try it.

Anyway, I will keep all you posted as to the next Christmas experiences. For now, a shout out to my cousin Morgan, for being my BEST FRIEND!!!!!

Oh yeh, ps to my Auntie Crystal. We are now of the elite and are beta blogger users so we 'beta' see a comment!!!!

C'mon Soysoy, when mom grabs a candle, what she's really doing is crying out desperately for a partner. And since I can't be there with her for the Reba duet, you're gonna have to do the "Happy birthday, Jesus, I'll open this one just for you" part, okay?

oh my goodness! Soy soy is incredibly adorable. I haven't read your blog in so long. He's getting so big. and serious, he's one of the cutest kids i've ever seen.

Why is it that kids like Christmas trees so much? sheesh. I can't keep Bill off of ours...and he keeps eating that dang popcorn garland. :) Thank the Lord that Jesse can't move yet.
